In my free time, I am a

Social dancer.

I got into social dancing in 2013 and quickly picked up Lindy Hop, Salsa, and various other ballroom and latin dances. I currently dance Lindy Hop (a type of swing dance) and Salsa primarily, with Bachata and Hustle on the side. Although I dance for fun, I have also been a performer for the Victoria Film Festival and Seaspan Shipyards.

Here, I am performing improvised Lindy Hop at the Seaspan Shipyards 2022 Service Awards.

Dance instructor.

I am currently a volunteer instructor for the University of Victoria (UVic) Cuban Salsa club, teaching around 20-50 people every week. I have taught for the UVic Swing Dance Club, the Victoria Event Center's weekly Speakeasy events, and the Victoria Jazz Festival.

Here, I am teaching intermediate Rueda de Casino at the UVic Cuban Salsa Club.
